About the 64PLSMA
The Gildan 64PLSMA is a Softstyle-base tee built specifically for DTG decorators. It uses the same 4.5-ounce 100% ring-spun cotton construction as the standard Gildan G640 Softstyle, but it adds a Plasma Print fabric finish that significantly reduces the amount of pre-treatment fluid needed before printing. For DTG shops, that translates to brighter prints, faster production, lower per-shirt pre-treat consumption, and a noticeably softer hand on the finished garment because there's less pre-treat residue stiffening the print area.
The Plasma Print finish is the entire point of the product. If you're running DTG production at any meaningful volume, pre-treatment is one of the bigger cost and quality variables in the workflow: too little and the inks don't bond well, too much and you get a stiff print area with a visible pre-treat box around the design. The 64PLSMA's plasma-treated fabric accepts DTG ink with much less pre-treat, which simplifies that variable considerably. The trade-off is that it's not compatible with wet-on-wet DTG machines, which apply pre-treat and ink in a single pass; for those setups, a standard Softstyle base is the right pick. For DTG operations using separate pre-treat and print stages, the 64PLSMA is purpose-built for the workflow.

For comparable Softstyle options without the Plasma Print finish, the standard Gildan G640 Softstyle is the obvious sibling at a lower per-unit cost. For sublimation-compatible all-over printing on a polyester base, the Gildan 42000 Performance Tee is the right choice — sublimation requires polyester and won't work on a cotton blank like the 64PLSMA. Sublimation does not work, since sublimation requires polyester content (typically 65% or higher) and the 64PLSMA is 100% cotton. For sublimation, look at the Gildan 42000 Performance Tee or another 100% polyester blank.
What sizes are available? Sizes Small through 3XL. Body length runs 28 inches (S) through 33 inches (3XL); chest width runs 18 inches (S) through 28 inches (3XL), measured laid flat with a +/-1 inch tolerance.
