Introducing the Bulkthreads Spec Guide!

June 09, 2026 2 min read

When you're buying apparel by the dozen (or the hundred), getting the blank right is everything. The wrong weight, a fabric that doesn't suit the job, or a size range that comes up short gets multiplied across your whole order. That's exactly why we built the Spec Guide fo our customers, as well as integrated it into our customizer: it's a quick, no-guesswork way to see what a garment is actually made of and how it fits before you commit. (Hey, that rhymes!)

Open the customizer, pick a product, and find the Spec Guide in the left-hand toolbar.

What the Spec Guide tells you

Pick any product and open the Spec Guide to see the details that matter most for a bulk decision, all in one place:

  • Fabric and weight. Know whether you're looking at a lightweight everyday tee or a heavier, more substantial cotton, and what it's made of, so the feel matches the job.
  • Category and style number. Confirm you've landed on the exact blank you mean, every time.
  • Full size range. See which sizes a style actually offers, from youth through extended adult sizes, so you never promise a size you can't deliver.
  • Real measurements by size. Body length, chest width, and sleeve length in inches, listed for each size, so you can check the fit against a garment you already own.
The best part

Compare two products side by side

This is where the Spec Guide really earns its keep. Put two styles next to each other and compare their fabric, weight, sizing, and measurements at a glance. Trying to decide between a lighter and a heavier tee, or weighing two similar blanks for a uniform program? You can see the differences side by side instead of flipping back and forth and trying to hold the numbers in your head.

Line up two styles and compare fabric, weight, sizing, and real measurements at a glance.

Buyer tip. Switch the size selector to the largest size you plan to order and check the chest and body-length numbers there first. Extended sizes are where fit surprises usually hide, and it's a fast way to make sure a style scales the way your group needs.

Why it matters for a bulk order

On a one-off purchase, a sizing or fabric mismatch is a minor annoyance. On an order of 50, 100, or 500, it's an expensive one. The Spec Guide is there so you can make that call once, with the facts in front of you, and order with confidence. Fewer surprises, fewer reorders, and a finished product that matches what you pictured.
