1-3 Day Delivery: What are the Deets?

Let's face it--a certain internet behemoth offering a certain 2-day delivery promise has set the standard for the rest of us. Because this certain company offers 2-day shipping, for free, on nearly every product to nearly every customer (you have to pay a membership fee, but it's reasonable), companies like bulkthreads.com have their work cut out for them, and we can either hope you don't buy from this behemoth, go out of business, or offer you something special too.  

Which is what we're trying to do. We want to lead the pack in customer service, customer care, customer awesomeness, and customer pricing. That's just a four-fold way to say, we want to offer you the best service on the best products with the best prices because you're the best buyers on the planet.  

And we want to do all of that quickly.  With 1-3 day delivery.  

Here are the deets, including FAQS: 

• 1-3 day delivery means "1-3 business days," i.e. Monday through Friday, 8 AM-5 PM.  
• Most products ship the same business day, if you order before 5PM Eastern Standard Time.  
• We've partnered directly with several manufacturers as well as suppliers, so if we don't have it, we can get it for you asap.  
• Most orders arrive from our place to yours in 1-3 business days, but some items ship from different warehouse locations, even on the same order.  This can turn a 1-day delivery into a 3-day. 
• On rare occasions an order can take more than 3 days via UPS Ground to arrive.  Most of the time, this happens because we had to order directly from the manufacturer and, say, ship your item from Florida to California, or vice versa.  If this is the case, average shipping times takes around 5-7 business days. 

Now what about pricing?  If you check out our shipping page, you'll see that we charge a measly 9.89 flat rate for all orders under $85, and offer free shipping for all orders over $85.  

Here's a secret--we actually lose money with that rate.  Most of the time, even if we deliver to you from the same state, our shipping cost is more than we charge. That's just the nature of doing business.  Not everyone can be that certain internet behemoth that gets the best shipping rates on the planet.  

Other times, we end up paying even more because you live in what UPS calls an "extended service area," which means an area outside regular city limits.  This means UPS adds a fuel surcharge or a "delivery fee."  

In both cases, we at bulkthreads.com don't change your delivery price.  And we don't preemptively or retroactively build these delivery fees into our pricing. 

Our prices are rock-bottom.  We even offer discounts. To make as much money as the other guy, the guy who offers cheaper or always-free shipping, we have to sell twice as much.

We could hide our shipping fees in higher pricing and then just pass those on to you, but we'd rather be transparent and up front--we'll beat any advertised price, and we won't try to stiff you on the backend.
