Let's Do Good

Hey Bulkthreads friends,

We hope you're well. The world is a crazy place--it always has been, hasn't it?--and it seems that the stress and angst of a cold winter has gotten to a lot of us. 

On a more somber note, we at bulkthreads hope for peace, both around the world and at home. People are good, kids deserve to be safe, everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, and no one should go hungry, naked, or homeless. 

We know that running a t-shirt business is small fry in the grand scheme of things, and we wish we could do more, truly. Some of us here have close friends who are caught up in war, and all of us are heartbroken at the senseless tragedy of military invasions. 

To boot, there is enough suffering around the world--in a million different contexts--to make one wonder if we can make a difference. What good is feeding one mouth if there are four more still hungry? What good is donating one t-shirt when there are so, so many who still can't get warm enough, or clean enough, or who go without.  

Well, one less hungry child is still one less hungry child. And it's a start. 

There's a lot we can do, if enough of us are willing to try. 

We at bulkthreads will up our donation to charities, particularly clothing centers for the homeless and needy.

We will continue to monitor our brand partners for the fair and ethical treatment of workers, and we'll promptly and proudly cut off any partner who doesn't treat laborers with respect, who doesn't follow industry standards for wages or working conditions.

We will continue to do our best to reduce waste and keep carbon emissions to a minimum.  

We will continue to support you by offering kind, caring, and prompt customer service--it is, in one small way, a chance for us to treat humankind with humanity. 

And we will continue to offer wholesale prices in the spirit of creativity: you have a message you want to print on your tees, and we want you to be able to do so. We believe in freedom of speech and in creative expression, and we believe that the world is a better place when you share your creativity with us.
